Last night our neighbor was babysitting the boys as Erik and I were at our student small groups. Kent told her that he had to go on the potty, so she took him upstairs, removed his diaper, and the little boy did his business on the toilet. That is the first time he ever showed interest in using the bathroom.

This morning I thought I'd ride the wave of the potty momentum, and let him pick out a pair of underwear to put on. I figure that we won't be going anywhere these next few days, so I should try and train him now. He is 2 1/2, and frankly, I've been changing diapers at least 6 times a day since March 3 of 2006. I'm ready to close the book on that chapter of our lives. I'm also ready to save $50 a month!

At 7:44 a.m. Kent was wearing Spiderman underwear and excited to use the big boy potty.

At 7:46 a.m. I was changing Kent's wet clothes, and putting a pair of Superman underwear on him.

I think that besides raising a teenager, potty training has to be the single most frustrating time in a parent's life.

Yes! I remember having to potty train 15 kids when I taught 3 year olds. It really stunk when the parents did try at home so I was the one changing all the wet clothes. You can do it!!!

Don't give up!! You can do it! Josiah is doing pretty good, but sometimes forgets to go and has accidents. My goal is to have him potty trained before this baby comes in May. Hope Kent catches on! I also hope that he is doing better on his new food! We are praying!

I agree! PT is super hard. I am trying it with the little girl I watch and I don't even want to think about Wyatt!

Keep doing the underwear...it works so much faster than pull-ups!
