In an effort to get Parker to see beyond himself and his world I told him about less fortunate children in the world. In his terms I explained how some children had no parents, food, clothes, or homes. Here is the prayer that followed:

"Dod please help the boys and girls with no mommies and daddies. Please give them clothes and food and refrigerators and electrical. Help them to have lots of money in the bank and give them jobs to have money in the bank. And give them toys."

I love that he prays for "electrical" (which I am assuming means electricity) and jobs. He's only 4! What a practical kid. Oh, and of course, let's not forget to pray for toys. I loved how he tacked that one in at the end.

What a great prayer!

That prayer sounds like it came from a much older kid! Good job Bethany! Isn't it an interesting task to try and explain things like that to a kid?
