Christmas Tradition ideas. What are some traditions that you did as a kid, or that you do with your own children?
By the way, Kent is asking for "tittles" for Christmas. Our neighbor introduced him to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and that's all he can talk about now. I love his cute mispronunciations.

We always make sugar cookies..... and my friend always puts out "reindeer oats" in the yard the night before Christmas. She puts oatmeal and sparkles in a plastic zip lock and the kids sprinkle them in the yard for the reindeer....
the only thing I can think of is picking out christmas pj's and christmas outfits for Christmas Sunday and being able to open them early as a family. The pj's you would open the Christmas Eve.
Megan..I love the PJ idea!
Something we started when Josiah had his first Christmas was we took our baby Jesus from our nativity and wrapped it up in a present. Christmas morning we read the Christmas story from the Bible and we open the "first gift of Christmas".
we lit an advent wreath, and each sunday in december another candle was lit. troy and i would almost battle to the death about who would light the candle, and then who would put it out with the candle snuffer...a very loving family tradition:-)
by the way, i know we have all of troy's teenage mutant ninja turtle toys and accessories somewhere, i will ask my mom.
We did the advent calendars...and the 25 day choco-calendar with the candie behind each day. At Christmas dinner, we passed wafers around and each peson in the family would break a piece off of each other persons and wish them a merry christmas and give well wishes for the next year.
The guy on shine fm said that his family bakes a birthday cake for Jesus every Christmas.
Bethany, we also did the pj thing with the kids and when I was growing up. We would always know we could open one present on Christmas Eve and we always knew it was pajamas and they always matched. We also would go out and drive around to look at all the lights and sing Christmas Carols either in the car or after we opened our present.
Brayden absolutely loves birthdays and birthday parties, so we baked a birthday cake for Jesus last year and plan to do it again this year. I guess that will be one of our traditions.
