Ten Years Later

This song is written in the back of my Bible (words and music by Graham Kendrick). I originally wrote it down in 1998 when I first heard it in a worship service. It had a tremendous impact on my life then. Ten years later and the words are my life's statement, and ultimately what I live for.

All I once held dear, built my life upon
All this world reveres, and wars to own
All I once thought gain, I now count as loss
Spent and worthless now, compared to this

Now my heart's desire is to know You more
To be found in You, and known as Yours
To possess by faith, what I could not earn
All surpassing gift of righteousness

Oh to know the power of Your risen life
And to know You in your sufferings
To become like You in your death my Lord
So with you to live, and never die

Knowing You Jesus
Knowing You
There is no greater thing
You're my all
You're the best
You're my joy
My righteousness
And I love you Lord
Yes, I love you Lord

I remember when Steve Andres would sing this song in youth group. It was my favorite altar song! It had a great impact on my life as well!! Thanks for bringing that wonderful memory back for me.
