Why?
You always here the saying, "why do bad things happen to good people?" But, I want to know why bad things happen to God-fearing people who give abundantly out of their limited resources to everyone who needs something. It has been difficult watching my parents, my heroes, go through a trying time. They've been attempting to sell their house for over 7 months. Finally a contract was signed and then the inspection revealed an above average radon count. What's radon? Exactly. It's some element that no one has ever even heard of until recently. Now they've fixed that problem which was costly, and then today my dad's truck breaks down. He drove an hour out of his way to help a friend whose house was flooded. While there, his truck will no longer start. Do you see what I'm saying? My dad is the kind of person that goes out of his way for others, and I don't understand why God doesn't work things out in his favor more often. Now my dad's truck is stranded 50 miles from his house--that's mega bucks to tow it back. My parents are givers. They're faithful and committed. Why did it take so long for their house to sell? Why did the fail the radon test? Why did his truck break down? Why can't they experience slight relief in stress once in a while? Uh...I've never questioned God when it comes to my personal experiences, I just have questions when it comes to those I love suffering. There is no one more deserving of a blessing than my parents. God please supply their needs!
