Here's what is on the agenda for the next few days...Thursday Erik is going to actually seed the lawn. It has taken us two and a half years to get the backyard in a position to get grass planted, but now we're finally ready. Thursday is also our family day, so I think we'll be ordering pizza and of course we will watch Survivor and The Office. Tomorrow, I am going to the Mother Daughter banquet at church. I know I have no daughters, but I'm borrowing one of the students! On Saturday we be doing Mother's Day activities and then Saturday night we're having friends over for a good old fashion BBQ. I'm trying to be outside as much as possible because I'd like to get a nice natural tan for our vacation next week, but the boys aren't allowed in the backyard and they seem to get bored in the front too quickly.

Here are a few random notes...

Go Blake...he is the only one who qualifies to be the next American Idol. That is all I have to say about that. If I go any more in depth it requires me to degrade the other two contestants, and that just isn't nice now is it?

Why did no one tell me that you have to register your child in Feb. in order to get him into preschool in September? Also...why does it cost a small fortune to send your child to preschool? It's going to cost us more to send Parker to preschool than it does to pay my monthly college loan!

I feel like the Cubs and I are drifting apart. I am so busy I rarely get to catch any of the games. This doesn't change my devotion, commitment, and love for them though.

That's all for now...

I thought you would be pleased to know that the banquet is not going to be considered a Mother- Daughter banquet. Plus you are a daughter, so what difference does it make if you don't have a daughter of your own. Anyways, glad to hear your going. I'll be there with Diana, your more than welcome to borrow her for the night, LOL!

GO BLAKE!!! I'm with you on this one!

Deborah

P.S. I have been enjoying reading your blog for quite some time now. Just thought you'd like to know!

I am glad to see you have things to look forward to. But try to enjoy the little moments in life...the simple things like watching Kent play with the bowls in the kitchen and enjoying Parker as he sits and pretends to read his books. THose moments may never come to pass again...enjoy them while they are at hand. :)
Love ya tender mender lender,

where doest the moon layeth at dawn? Where doest the stars wonder as the sun beams down? Where will the plants linger in the horizon? Sit and ponder these thoughts as you drive on your trip.
