Today Parker got a hold of 240 Thomas the Train stickers and decided to exercise his creative genius. I got out of the shower to find dozens of stickers placed in various random spots. There were stickers on Kent's bottles, on the stuffed animals, on the rug, on books, on Kent's head, on chairs.....it was like a trail. As I followed the stickers I finally found Parker in the bathroom. "I'm stuck mommy." He had a sticker on each finger and was trying to free himself, but couldn't. All of the stickers removed fairly easily. The only ones that gave me trouble were the one on Kent's head (it pulled what little hair he does have), and the ones on the bottles. Those Advent bottles are so expensive and I was upset that he ruined one of them. I didn't punish Parker because he honestly thought he was expressing his artistic interests. He was so proud of all the places that he decorated. I instructed him on the proper usage of stickers and then gave him paper to use as a surface for the stickers. Guess what...he didn't want the paper. Paper is boring. Paper is the expected counterpart to stickers. He was thinking outside the box.
On to Kenters, as we affectionately call him. He is going through the stage where he SCREAMS every time I leave the room. He is also learning to bear walk (crawling with his hands and feet minus the kness). He took three steps yesterday in the bathtub of all places. He is resisting baby food and craving spicey and flavorful food. He is upset when Parker takes toys away now too. In the past, he was a pushover because he didn't know any better. Now, he is starting to fight back. Parker better watch it, because it looks like Kent is going to be the bigger of two. Kent recently found the drawer that has the alumnion foil, plastic baggies, and wax paper. He unrolled the entire contents of the wax paper and he took out over 75 sandwhich bags. It's time to put the locks on the cabinets.

Just go through all these stages now, so when I have my kids you could totally help me out!
