Parker, you broke my heart yesterday. It always takes you awhile before you'll jump in and play with new kids, but last night I watched you watch a group of kids playing, and you just sat on the sidelines laughing and enjoying them enjoying one another. I could tell that you desperately wanted to be involved. I wanted to stop all the fun, and ask them if you could play, but I sat back. They were an older group of boys, and I think you felt a little intimidated. There was a hint of sadness in your eyes, that would touch any mother's heart. I pray for you to see how great you are. I want God to convince you of your specialness, of your strengths He gave you, and of the confidence that comes only from Him.

I love you Parker. You have been a powerful inspiration to me, and there is nothing that I would not do for you. Nothing. In those moments where I see you unsure of yourself, it causes me to pray for you and for God to bring you a friend like Jonathon was to David. I pray for you to have mighty men that surround your life, like David had. I pray for you to find friends that will sharpen you as iron sharpens iron. I pray for you to know what it is like to be yourself around people, and for them to accept you for who you are. I pray for you to be like your Dad in a lot of ways. He was comfortable with himself, he had friends, and it was simple. I on the other hand, wasted so much time trying to impress others and climb the social ladder while I was younger, before God got a hold of my life, and changed my perspectives.

I hope and pray that you see yourself as God sees you. You are funny, intelligent, sensitive, giving, compassionate, conscientious, goal oriented, curious, obedient, motivated, and loyal. I love everything about you. My prayer is that people get to see the real you, and that you are comfortable enough to show them. You will bless peoples life, of this I am sure. I don't want God to change your core. You may never be an extrovert. I just want you to be confident in who God has made you, and I want you to be aware of your strengths so you can use them.
