God give second chances. And third chances. And fourth chances. When we mess up Plan A, God is merciful enough to have a Plan B waiting in the wings. As I have been reading the book of Jeremiah, I have been struck by how forgiving God is. He trusts Israel, and they fail. He forgives them, and they return to their messed up ways. Yet he pursues them, and not only does he pick them up after they've fallen, but He gives them a new purpose, and sets their feet upon a new path. How beautiful.

We have several people that we love who have found themselves off the Plan A path. But that doesn't mean that their life is headed for a dead end from this point forward. I love that God can make beauty from our ashes, and that He can re-set our feet upon a fulfilling journey. No mistake is too big for God. No failure or poor choice handicaps God from using us or doing something meaningful with our lives.

The mere fact of God sending us Jesus when we were STILL sinners, failures, and rejects shows us that nothing can separate us from the LOVE of God, or the GOODNESS of God.
