I love when you love what I love. I love when you are interested in the things that interest me. I get excited to talk to you when you're excited about things that I'm excited about. In short, few things warm my heart more than when you are talking about the Cubs.

I can't wait until tonight, even though it is projected to be freezing and raining. I am excited to sit with you in the stands and point out the man behind the score board, the place where Pat and Ron broadcast, and the Pirate's bullpen. I can't wait to buy you cotton candy, walk through Wrigleyville, and give you a play by play analysis of what is going on in the game. I hope we make it to the 7th inning stretch, and in a perfect world, we'll be there after the 9th when they play "Go Cubs Go" for the Cubs win.

I wonder if this is how God feels when we express an interest in the things He loves. Such as compassion, mercy, service, and reaching the lost.

Leave it to me to find a spiritual parallel with the Cubs. :)
