Three Men and a Lady

Nine years ago today I was getting ready for my wedding rehearsal. I was beyond excited, and honestly I had no nerves or reservations about what the next day would hold.

I had a bridal tea in the afternoon with my aunts, sisters, grandmas, and cousins. I am not exactly sure what your dad did in the afternoon..I'll have to ask him. I have a sneaking suspicion it involved video games.

The whole wedding party met at Calvary Church in Naperville at 6pm. I wore a green sundress, and your dad wore a brown plaid shirt with khaki pants. He greeted me with a bouquet of flowers..I'm almost positive his friends gave him the idea! :)

We did the rehearsal with many laughs, and then we headed out to Traverso's in Naperville for our dinner. I remember hugging and kissing your dad goodbye, and I literally was counting down the minutes until our wedding the next day at 11 am.

Your auntie J and auntie Shar Shar and I spent the night at a hotel. I told them to share a bed, because this would be my last night sleeping alone, and I wanted to hog the bed and covers one last time.

I fell asleep that night dreaming about the last 4 1/2 years and looking forward to what the next day would represent.
