Randomness on a rainy day..

*Kenters is my monkey. He says "Hold you Mommy", and when I pick him up he wraps his legs around my waist and his arms around my neck. I don't even have to hold on to him. I can literally walk around the kitchen, and Kent clings to me like a furry jungle animal. Kent is in the "nap adjustment" stage. He still needs one, but when he takes one, it pushes his bedtime back by at least an hour and a half. I probably should just bite the bullet and skip his nap, but I don't want to deal with the fussiness of the few adjustment weeks.

*We hit a few garage sales today, and this is a highlight for the boys. They love spending their nickles and quarters on books and happy meal toys. Today I bought them several books, a hard shell briefcase from the 50's, a few Matchbox car sets that fold flat for storage, a tabletop Foosball game, 4 Batman movies, and 3 Ninja Turtle movies (of course I bleached everything...even the covers of the books and movies).

*It's pizza night here, and although I will make a quick stop at a youth activity, I'm going to come home after the boys are in bed, and Erik and I are planning to watch the movie "Seven Pounds". I have no idea what this film is about, but it has Will Smith in it, so I am therefore interested.

*I am happy. I am just happy to be a mom and a wife. I never ever thought I'd say that, but I find myself being fulfilled in that role. Is it a sign of maturity on my part, or am I finally accepting this season that I've found myself in? I honestly can say that I am finding pleasure in being home with my children, being their caretaker, and nurturing my well deserving husband.

oh my word...7 pounds is SO sad! I cried and cried and cried. It is too close to home for me. Let me know what you thought of the move. I liked it, but then again since it was so close to home...I didn't.

I'm so glad you are lovin' being a mommy and wife. You are great at both from what I have heard and have read about you.

You are where you are meant to be...you have fianlly found your niche in life!
With Kent's nap, what time are you making him nap? Right after lunch is a great time. I keep kids napping until they are 4. In preschool/daycares they still make the kids nap so I think that is right lol

We just watched 7 pounds last weekend....hang in there to the end...

Josh is also not wanting to go to bed at night with having a nap everyday. He gets up over and over again. But, I'm not ready to give up the nap either!

I found 7 Pounds to be an interesting movie, if a bit morose... I love the feeling of contentment when all feels right in the world...perfect balance between family, work, school and God. I hope that you enjoyed the pizza!
