For my ministry friends...

I have several friends who are in ministry currently, and they are experiencing hardships and trials. Ministry is an incredible honor, and beautiful calling to serve and love. It can be a rewarding road, but it can also be a lonely and dark place at times. I would like to encourage us with a passage of Scripture that I hold on to with all my might..

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore my brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, for you know that your labor is not in vain."

My prayer is that those of us who have been called to full-time ministry would stand firm. That no attack from the enemy or from people would move the foundation on which we stand. I pray that no matter what we face, that we would continually give our lives fully to the work of the Lord. Let us be encouraged that though our efforts may seem fruitless at time, we are promised that our work is not in vain. It is for the glory of Jesus.

My life verse for ministry is Gal. 6:9 "do not grow weary in well-doing because in due season you shall reap a harvest of blessing." Many times over the years it has seemed that my ministry to others has been futile but then years later someone will say, "you helped me change my life", or "you don't know how you influenced me by something you said". Expect nothing from people and you then won't be disappointed. It's when we think people owe us something because we have ministered to them that we will be disappointed. God bless all of you younger women who are serving the Lord in ministry. It is hard but so worth it.
