I found a down comforter on sale for 75 % off the other day. It is hands down the single best $50 purchase I ever made. I found myself hurrying to get my chores done last night so that I could be in bed as quick as possible. "Cozy" is the only word that perfectly describes the blanket. It literally feels like I'm wrapped in a feather bonfire. There is only one problem: It is too cozy. Erik and I have been remarking as to how we have been exceptionally tired these last few mornings. I think it is because the comforter makes us so comfortable and too relaxed, we don't want to get up.Yesterday Parker and I went on an afternoon bike ride. He rode his training wheels (which are hanging on like a loose tooth) and I rode my new bike. We stayed on a bike path for a bout 1/2 mile to the park, and then we played for about 45 minutes. What I didn't account for was the ride home. Parker was so tired from the trek there and from running around at the park, that his little legs didn't have the energy to ride home. He insisted that I carry him. I tried to logically explain that I could not carry him, his bike, and my bike a 1/2 mile home...in to the wind. So, we rode our separate bikes at a snail's pace. Parker cried because he was tired, but he peddled on. Not exactly the memory I was hoping to create.
