At 2 years 3 months and 12 days old, Kent prayed his first prayer. Usually when I put him to bed, we kneel down and I pray, and then joins in for the "Amen". Last night I thought I'd take it a step further and tried to have him repeat after me. After the first few sets of "Thank You Jesus for...", Kent said, "Me do it", and he picked up right where I left off.
"Thank you my gigi (his stuffed blue bunny and constant companion)
"Thank you Amber (a senior at the CREW)
"Thank you Paul" (there are two students named Paul at the CREW who play with Kent)
"Thank you my bed"
I'll always remember this day, because it's the first time Kent talked to Jesus.

Then Parker, at 4 1/2 prays prayers that would make an English teacher faint. He prays in one long run on sentence, and usually doesn't even stop for air. For example, this was last night's...
"Dear Dod, thank you that I could go to Rainbows and get my elephant badge because I really wanted it and I really want my dog badge too but we not learn about that and thank you for George (his stuffed friend) and my school and I want to watch that movie tomorrow (The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe) and my mom and my dad and rainbows and that's it I'm done."

You are such an awesome Mom, Bethany. And it shows in the tenderness (and humorous honesty!) that comes from your boys. I love this post! xoxo
