Clean Up Clean Up...

Last night, at about 7:30 p.m, I hit a zone. I began cleaning out toy boxes, cabinets, and closets. I am having company on the 4th, so I think it was more of a panic clean. Kent is turning two on Friday, and before each boy's birthday, I attempt to get rid of older toys in order to make room for new items. My boys are loved, and therefore spoiled by our extended families, so I felt the need to make more shelf space in the house.

At one point Erik looked at me, and said, "What is the matter with you? Are you pregnant?" No...I just felt like de-cluttering our house.

I am so unsentimental. Nothing has meaning to me. I will throw anything and everything away. When I look at an item I think, "I can't take it with me when I go", or "I haven't used this in over a year." Needless to say I am making a stop to Goodwill today before church.

PS..Portillo's has the BEST hamburgers.

You are funny! I am the same way with "stuff". The "sentimental" folks think people like us are crazy. You're right... can't take it with you anyways... I didn't even get sad leaving the house yesterday for the last time... 2 years ago I thought we'd stay there our whole lives. It's just another "thing" in the big picture.
Happy wednesday!

I throw everything away too... there is no better feeling than getting rid of a bunch of things... and decluttering! I got in that zone last week.. closets are clean, old toys and clothes are gone, and I feel great!!!!!!!!

How about you come and clean my house! I do clean out and get rid of my clothes and shoes, but that is about it.

I bet having your birthday on the 4th is a lot of fun! You get fire works every year!!!

Portillo's cheeseburgers and cheese fries are amazing - I actually ate there for lunch yesterday! You are so funny - you clean your closets and cabinets when people come over. I clean major parts of the house people will see by throwing everything into closets and cabinets. lol
