I'm going to Gurnee Mills for a mother daughter shopping day with the youth, and then this evening we are attending a meeting where issues concerning emotional purity will be discussed. I'm excited about the shopping, but nervous to leave Erik and the boys home for over 12 hours alone! What condition will my house be in when I return?
This morning as I was blow drying my hair, Parker ran upstairs to tell me Kent had my purse. When I ran downstairs I saw that Kent had gotten into my liquid bronzer and it was all over his face, hands, and my tan carpet. After I cleaned off my make-up, washed the carpet, and Erik gave Kent a bath, I started to work on dusting the house. Parker was coloring with markers and I told him not to give any to Kent. Did he listen? Of course not...the next time I saw Kent he had black and brown marker all over his face. All this happened by 8:45 this morning.
I thought this was cute..on several occasions Parker has said, "Pastor Erik, can I have...." He hears everyone else calling him Pastor Erik, so he thinks that is his title now. I had to explain to him that he and Kent are in a special club and they are the only ones in the whole world who get to call Erik "daddy."
Gotta love it.

That's too funny, b/c Josiah and Josh both have gotten into my makeup and Josiah has managed to put on eye-shadow and mascara - it was all too lovely. But, the mascara was all over his forehead! Did you ever see those pictures?
