Putt putt

Today we took the boys for their first game of mini golf. Kent surprisingly stayed in his stroller for all 18 holes and watched the rest of his family make fools of themselves. I started off strong, but by the 5th hole, my luck had ended. Parker was hilarious to watch. He kept wanting to swing the club like a bat. Around the 3rd hole, his golf swing became more like a golf drag. He would simply drag the ball to the edge of the hole. Then he'd stop, position himself properly and tap the ball in. He was so proud of his accomplishment, that I didn't have the heart to tell him he was cheating. Erik, while on the phone, got a hole in one on #18, and therefore received a free game. The two of us are way too competitive, and I tried to be happy for him, but deep down I was a bit aggravated. How did he do so well when he wasn't even paying attention? Then we went to the batting cages and I felt redeemed after that!

Isn't that always the case? Husbands manage to beat us at games without even trying (Jim for example on Wednesday night with transformers...rigged). I'm sure you had a fun time and I'm surprised Kent stayed put the whole time! Where did you end up golfing?
