A shout out...
This holiday we memorialize the lives of the men and women who have given their lives for the sake of our freedom. I have no greater respect than for those who have and who are currently serving in our armed forces. Today as I was sitting in church, I thought about how my ability to get up this morning and choose which church to go for worship, is a liberty that was given to us by our soldiers. The fact that I can praise God when I want, where I want, and how I want is a gift that many believers do not possess. I thank these dedicated individuals for sacrificing their families, their own agendas, and their lives so that I can enjoy living in a free country. My grandfather is a veteran and when I think about all that he gave my heart is overwhelmed. I think about Merrill (woot woot) and his willingness to serve and I am grateful. I know tomorrow originated as a day of rememberance, and it has formed into a day of BBQ and relaxation. But, I will take time tomorrow to thank God for the bravery of soldiers, and to pray for the protection and safe return of those currently serving our beautiful country.
