Parker, on the list of things I want you to learn before Kindergarten (how to swing by yourself, how to ride a two wheeler, and how to tie your shoes) is how to wash yourself in the shower. We did a test run last night. You came out looking clean, so I gave you a passing grade. As I lay in bed with you that night saying our "good nights", I ran my fingers through your hair only to find about 1,000 grains of sand. You sheepishly looked down. I think you may have forgot to wash your hair. Anyway, I was telling you about all the things in the day that you had done that made me so proud; like taking your dish to the sink after dinner, sharing with your brother, arm wrestling with your dad, and so on. In the middle of my sentence, you looked at me and said "Nice Boob." I didn't know whether to scold you or to laugh. So I did both. I kissed your head and walked out of the room. As I was leaving you said, "Nice Butt." Oh my. Now to add to the list of things you need to learn before kindergarten..what is appropriate and not appropriate to say to your mother..or any other woman for that matter!

Kent, you played in the neighbors sand box for HOURS yesterday. Your dad and I have mutually agreed to never own a sandbox under any circumstances, but we are happy to let you mess up the neighbor's yard! We then played a game of "Mother May I" with the other kids, and every time you ask for the same thing "Moder May I take four baby steps". You never ask for a fire engine, or a frog jump, or a giant step. Nope. It's always 'four baby steps". Last night I had you sleep with me and daddy in our bed because you had a bug bite on your eye and I was worried about you. About 2:30 in the morning I began to hear you toss and turn. I asked you what was wrong, thinking that your bite hurt, but you replied "I'm all wet." Yep. You peed the bed while Daddy and I were in it. I had to wake up your dad and tell him to go and sleep with Parker. Before he did, Daddy took all the sheets off the bed and put them in the washing machine while I was giving you a bath. I went to sleep with you in your race car bed for the remainder of the night. Needless to say, I don't think you'll be invited back to sleep in our bed for a very long time.

That's happened to us before....we've been taking both boys to the bathroom when we go to bed and they've been doing great! They're not hardly awake when they go, but they go and it works!!!
