Parker brought a book home from his pre-school library, which is at a local christian church. It was about dinosaurs and how they fit in to the creation story. Here are some of the "facts" this book was supporting...
1)God made dinosaurs on the same day as Adam and Eve (I can buy that), and they lived together in harmony (that I'm not so sure of).
2)They were originally good vegetable eating animals, until Adam and Eve sinned. Then they became carnivores as a result of the fall of man.
3)Because these creatures were dangerous and too big in size, they were not allowed on the ark with Noah and his family. Dinosaurs subsequently drowned and became extinct...although somehow a few survived and showed up at various points in history(like in Job 40:15).
Is this the view of creation and dinosaurs according to general protestant faiths? I am not exactly sold on this theory...I need to hit the virtual books and see what other explanations are out there.
Random. I know.

It does a better job of explaining that people killed the dinosaurs to extinction (same as our endangered species now).
I always wondered that too. Let me know what you come up with!
