It's been a long and emotional weekend for my family, and these are two things that brought a smile to my face.

"Kent?" I called as I was upstairs making my bed. He was downstairs watching TV, and I just wanted to be sure he was okay.

"Nothing!" was his response.

Nothing makes me as suspicious as a two year old who says "nothing" when you are inquiring of their whereabouts.

--------------------
It was 10:30 in the evening, and I was hiding under my down comforter reading a book. In marched Parker who was rambling and slurring his words together out of pure anxiety.

"Mommy! While I was exercising under my bed my baseball fell off the wall!"
Exercising under my bed..was all I heard.

#1) Who exercises under their bed? How does that even work?

#2) Does Parker even know how to exercise? He's 4.

#3) It was 10:30 at night! This little boy was supposed to be sleeping.

#4) I was laughing so hard, I didn't even reprimand him for knocking his baseball poster down, or for being up way past his bedtime.

#5) Earlier in the evening we were watching Disney's "Shaggy Dog" and I was doing pilates. I'm pretty sure Parker was trying to imitate that. That mental picture is hysterical.

Way too funny! I was that kid that always replied "Nothing!" when my parents called my name when I was a kid...Not that I ever did anything...well not so as anything that anyone can prove anyways....hehe
