I'm reading it. I know of at least 9 girls at the CREW who have read the entire series. It is all they talk about. I'm nosey and I want to see what is so appealing. I know it's about vampires and werewolves, but for some reason these girls are absolutely obsessed with the novels. I am only about 75% of the way through the first book, and the ground work is still being established. I can see how adolescent girls are drawn to the storyline here. A seemingly out of touch guy is attracted to an awkward clumsy girl, and is willing to set aside his vampire tendency because he loves her. How romantic (sense the sarcasm please).
It is another New York Times best seller, and for me, it's been a great way to connect with some girls. I'll get back and post some of my thoughts on this book that has been the Harry Potter of the last few years. The Church hasn't embraced the series, and I want to read it for myself and know why.

I'll be interested to see what you think about the series. At the scrapbook retreat several of the women said they were obsessed with the series also. They said he is a "vegetarian" vampire. Whatever that is...
