Dad and Daughter

We are having our second Dad and Daughter Date Night for the Crew. Last time we did dinner and a movie, and this time, to encourage more interaction, I am hosting a game night. We are going to indulge in ice-cream sundaes with numerous toppings, and then we'll challenge one another in Spoons, Sequence, Cranium, and the girl's favorite card game "Mafia". I'm a little nervous to introduce this game to the parents, but this is one of the student's favorite games. If you get past the negative connotation of the title, and the fact that the game is about lying and killing, it's actually fun and entertaining. I promise. It's rated PG.

Seriously though, I love this night. My Dad is my hero, an inspiration, and a constant source of steadiness and encouragement to me. I want the students to see their dads as assets to their lives, as spiritual cheerleaders, and as a picture of how God loves them. I hope in some small way, that this night facilitates closeness between daddies and daughters.

To quote a line from one of my favorite movies Grease "The only boy a girl can really depend on his her daddy". (Spoken from the wise Frenchy to our darling Sandra Dee)

We have pictures...I think you should scan it and put it as a picture for your next commerical for your father daughter date night with your church.

That is a great idea. I have the best dad and believe I am who I am today because of him!
