Gotta say...I love my husband.
We make a good team when it comes to taking care of the boys and we've got a routine down pat. After dinner, he takes the chillins upstairs for a bath while I clean the kitchen and do a general pickup around the house. When the scrubbing of both the children and kitchen are done, we meet downstairs at around 6:30 for a little family time before the boys go to bed.
My husband is hands on with our kids, he works hard for us, and he takes responsibility for our family. He sees his role as a father as not only one that offers guidance and discipline to his children, but he cares for their physical and emotional needs as well. He has given as many baths as I have, he changes diapers daily, he washes dishes (after they are done "soaking"), he folds and irons his own clothes (only because he is so particular, but that's beside the point), and he plays, plays, plays with the boys.
I have seen husbands who think that raising children is their wife's territory and housekeeping is not on their radar. I'm so glad I married a man who feels that fatherhood is the greatest priority and that lending a helping hand at home is not beneath him.
He does an excellent job of balancing a family and a ministry. And he rightly sees his family as his first flock that he has been called to shepherd. I truly believe that God will honor that, and that example speaks volumes to students.
Now, after all of these nice things I've said about him, maybe he'll get me that bike that I want for my birthday. (Erik if you read this you have exactly 11 days to get me something gooood.....like a bike, maybe some perfume, and definetely chocolate).

LOL- A thought... It wouldn't hurt if you leave out a picture, description, price and location of desired items for your birthday. :)
Hope you get what you want!

HAHA I love your ending! ;}
I am also blessed with a husband who does a lot around the house and when we have kids he is VERY involved!
I think we all did very well with marrying husbands who are helpmates and not bosses. Snaps for the hubbies!
or maybe a chocolate bike with a spritz of perfume? Just wondering...see 3 birds, one stone. Multitasking master mind.
erik does do so well with the kids and realating to them on their level!
Hi Bethany! I know you love reading and was wondering if you have read the Shack. I have not read the book yet but the author was at our church yesterday and I was just blown-away by his message. I couldn't really do it justice but I tried to write about it on my blog - if you've read it I would love to hear your thoughts on the book.
