Due to our upcoming vacation next week, I voted today. I know it is improper to talk about politics, but it's election season, so I think those rules go out the window. Plus, this site is called "Bscottyberg's Blurbs", and I am Bscottyberg ( a name bestowed upon me by Ms. Erica Ross) so I can blurb whatever I feel like blurbing. I can also make up words for my own use. :)
I voted for McCain. Honestly he was not my first choice. The older I become the more I realize that an ideal candidate may not exist. I don't know that I even had a first choice. I'm beginning to see the "politician" in every politician. But, his voting record indicates that he lines up the closest to the values and stances that I see as important.
Most importantly I feel like McCain's only agenda is America's well being , and it is not a selfish one intended to expand his own empire. But, if the recent polls are any indication, I will probably not be celebrating come Tuesday evening. One thing I do promise myself is that I will not be a president basher. If Mr. Obama becomes my president I'm not going threaten to move to another country, or resort to name calling and verbal abuse. I will exercise my freedom of speech though, and politely and respectfully refute an argument or policy that I do not agree with. But the fact is, I still live in the greatest country in the world, and I will not complain about that.

I agree with everything you said.
McCain isn't my first choice, but I never really had anyone who would be my first choice.
NO president will line up with everything that I believe, BUT McCain is the closest!
I will be voting on the 4th with PRIDE.
I am PROUD to be an AMERICAN! ;}
Good for you! We do live in the greatest country and I am tired of people threatening to leave or saying how bad we have it. People have no idea how blessed we are!
I agree. This has been a hard election and for me very frustrating. I hate the hateful personal bashing I constantly see. This is the thing we need to remember though GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL! We may or may not like what we are seeing but no matter who becomes our next president God can and will continue to do His work of redemption. Our job is to pray for whoever is in office. We can pray the His Kingdom would come and His will be done in spite of the office holder or the people around him. There is a bigger picture here. Let's keep our eyes focused on God's Kingdom principles and we just might see a mighty work of God--perhaps even revival!
Agreed... however It's not over until it's over! Don't give up until wednesday :)
