I DID almost have a heart attack yesterday when the Cubs let in those 4 runs by Milwaukee for them to take the lead. I almost had another heart attack when Soto hit his homerun in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. I had my final heart attack when Lee hit a single up the middle in the bottom of the 12th. I love it when the Cub's win. I just wish it wouldn't be so close!

Ever since Kent was born, I have begun my mornings with a cup of coffee. I don't drink coffee at any other time of the day. I like my morning brew to be white...mostly it's milk and sugar with a dash of coffee.

Last night I made pork chops, homemade baked sweet potato fries, and fresh green beans. The pork chops and green beans were excellent. The sweet potato fries, not so much. Erik was polite and ate them, but I could tell they weren't his favorite. That's love for you.

Learning to eat just about anything our spouse makes with a smile on our face is a trait best learned by a husband early on...not...that..my wife has EVER made anything bad. Everything she makes is scrumptious. ok I think I am covered...anybody sell insurance?
