I am not good with change. In fact, at all costs, I try to avoid it. I've been ordering the same meal at McDonalds for 20 years (Cheeseburger Happy Meal with a Sprite), and I'll probably never try anything else.

I know most change can be good and productive, and it is almost always necessary. I just need all of my questions answered before I make the change. The problem is that uncertainty usually accompanies transition. Risk is mandatory, and failure is a possibility. All of those components make me extremely uncomfortable.

But, if I am going to be a viable member of the body of Christ, change is unavoidable. Nothing in the New Testament is predictable except that life is unpredictable. Instead of looking for concrete answers, I need to trust that God has all of the details worked out, and they will be revealed to me when and IF necessary.

Change requires trust. That is what stretches me.

I always get the "All American Meal" with a cheeseburger and Sprite. It is a Happy Meal without the toy, so it is cheaper. It is not on the menu, but everywhere I ask for it, they know what I am talking about...must be a McDonald's secret!
