Brainwashing

Whenever Kent sees our friend Jim at church, he runs to him and screams at the top of his lungs, "Jim!!!!". Now I am trying to teach him to say, "Go Cubs Go" when he sees Jim, a Sox fan.

On the way home from church Parker was asking me about the Cub's pitchers. I was explaining the rotation and giving him a little info on each pitcher. I got to Zambrano, and before I could say anything Parker chimed in, "Oh his name is Z and he is hurt." I asked him how in the world he knew that, and he said, "I heard it on the radio." I listen to Cub's commentary all the time on 720am, and I had no idea that Parker was comprehending what he was hearing.

For the first time this week Parker realized that there were people who were not Cub fans. In his innocence, he just assumed everyone loved the Cubs. He told me that and Litt"Benji likes the "ankies" and little Sam likes the Sox". I told him that the Cubs were the best team in the world and that the other teams are "bad guys." I am certainly guilty of brainwashing, but it's for a good cause, right?

Parker has decided that the Pirates are his second favorite team. He thinks the players are actual pirates.

Bethany, two funny Parker stories:
1)Parker and I played house with ghost buster figures. He was the dad building a house with blocks, and I was suppose to be the wife making dinner. At one point, I showed him how to build a door. His response "Honey, that is such a great idea!"
2)Brian told me after they beat a bad guy on one of the arcade games, Parker turned to Brian, slapped him in the butt, and said "Great job!"
