1) Our date was fun...and my Mud Pie Mojo from Coldstone was delicious.

2) Kent does have an ear infection.

3) I need some new authors to read.

4) The Cubs sweep the Sox, but then lose to the Orioles?

5) We sold our old Minivan. I got a tad emotional because that's the vehicle I've been carting the boys around since Kent was only a few days old.

6) Our book club meeting was great. We lit candles, ate muffins and oatmeal bars, drank coffee and tea, and discussed all things Amish. It was me and seven students, and I was so impressed with their knowledge of the book.

That stinks about Kent, I hope he feels better... at least now you have an explanation for the behavior you were worried about.

Hi Bethany,

Found your blog. Kaleigh had a great time Monday. Thanks!

As far as books, have you read any of Karen Kingsbury? I love her books and have almost one of her complete baxter family series. The last book of the series is coming out in September. You are welcome to borrow them. I actually have them with me - not in the truck. Some things can't be parted with! :)

We just watched some show, PrimeTime: The Outsiders (like Dateline or 20/20) about Amish people last night and thought of you! Rubin said it's a series that they are doing about the lifestyles.

You need to read a book called "The Same Kind of Different as Me". Not sure of the author's names right now, but it's fantastic. I just read it... changed my life!

Another good one is "What is the What" based on a true story about the Sudanese refugees. Also changed my life and made me want to go to Africa and do SOMETHING, anything to help!
