It's official. Disney World IS the happiest place on earth. I loved every minute of my trip. I think it was great for Parker and I to spend quality time together. More often than not, I have to focus on Kent, so Parker sometimes gets overlooked. He loved having Mommy all to himself, and he wasn't afraid to tell me a thousand times a day.
Parker was the "braverest boy in the whole wide world." He rode every ride that his 40'' would get him on. He did Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and even the Test Track. He wasn't too fond of the 3D shows, and he would continually ask if he could take off his magic glasses. I think the flying objects scared him a bit, but he was such a good sport.
We did MGM, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. I think, like every senior citizen, Epcot was my favorite. Parker, of course, chose Magic Kingdom as his park of choice.
Parker was really in to getting character's autographs. He would see a character and say, "Mom, I wanna sign them up."
And, to top off the trip, I received 12 complimentary park tickets (a value of over $1,000) from the manager of our hotel. When we got back to our room on Monday night, our door was open. Apparently housekeeping had failed to close our door. So, I called the front desk, and expressed my disappointment and concern. Tuesday when we got back, our door was open again. This time when I called the front desk, I was not so cordial. When we were checking out, the clerk asked me how our stay was, and I was honest and told her that I would be contacting the corporate office when I returned home. She then sent a manager over, and I calmly and respectfully reiterated my distrust in their hotel. He agreed that the situation was unacceptable, and therefore compensated me with 12 free tickets (two for each person in our party). They expire in 10 years, so hopefully I'll make it back to Disney so I can make good use of them!
After I do 500 loads of laundry, I will try and post some pictures our great adventure.
I WANNA GO BACK!!!

Sounds like you had a blast - we definitely missed you!!!
Did you get a tan?!?!?
I am glad you had fun!
When I was little, I had the pants scared off me in the haunted mansion....that ghost that sat next to me in the ride really freaked me out!
Glad you are back!
PS.
Thanks for bringing back this stellar weather!
I'm glad you had fun at Disney World! I haven't been there since I was 9. Hopefully someday I will make it back there!
Can't wait to see pictures of your trip! =)
Sounds like you and Parker had a blast. I have not been there in forever and DO plan on going back some day.
It is horrible about your room, but awesome about your free tickets! Things like that happen to my husband all the time. People in our family laugh at him. But oh well. I will count them as blessings. :}
I will def. be waiting to see pictures!
oh yah p.s. How many "signing people ups" did Parker get?!
I want to take the girls!!!!! I hope to make it there soon.
I am so glad you were able to have fun with Parker. He is the sweetest little boy ever! Let me know the Hotel name you stayed at so I don't stay there too!!
Glad you had a great time at Disney! And 12 free tickets! WOW! We ended up at Sea World on Friday and stayed at Regal Palms resort in Davenport over the weekend. Well, when you guys make it back down here to use your tickets you should check that place out, it's not far from Orlando parks. And hey - if you can't find anyone to use those tickets, we could probably help you out with that!! HA HA~!
