Boy oh Boy

Oh my boys. I am so in love with them.

Parker is my steady eddie, and amazes me every day. He loves to play his acoustic guitar, and sing songs about his day's activities, his toys, and his family. He loves to play baseball, and recently he told me that he wants to do "little hits" (bunts) like "Sukadome." I can't get him to eat a vegetable for anything, but he pounds strawberries like nobody's business. He has such a sensitive heart. When he has misbehaved and I correct him, he always seeks me out and says, "mommy you mad at me still?" He cannot handle unresolved business..so much like his momma. I love how he won't eat a banana because it's too messy, he won't let his food touch, and he won't mix his toys in different bins. He wakes up each morning and finds me so we can cuddle, he uses a deep voice when he is playing "guys", and he is a puzzle genius. He insists on wearing the Buzz Lightyear watch that is two sizes too big, he brushes his teeth with more toothpaste than is healthy, and he insists on riding on the back of every shopping cart instead of walking next to me. He is tender, affectionate, and sincere. Parker asks questions constantly, and "because" is not enough for him. He teaches me to look deeper for truth, and to dig beneath the surface for answers.

Kenters is the spice of my life. When he hears music, regardless of the words, he raises his chubby hands in worship. I wash his hands constantly, but they always manage to be sticky with leftovers in between his fingers. I love how he sings to himself as he is in his crib. I love how he greets me when I go and get him in the morning. I feel like a celebrity. He jumps up and down, screams, and squeals, "MOMMY!" When he hurts himself, he will hunt me down so I can kiss his ouchie. I love how he eats, eats, eats, and eats. After a breakfast of cereal, bananas, and yogurt, he still asks for a pop-tart! I love how he tries to play guys like his big brother, and tries desperately to play baseball. He puts the football on the tee, and swings with a golf club. His laugh comes from his gut, and his smile melts my heart. I love how five minutes after I have dressed him, one sock is off, his shirt is twisted, and his pants have a stain. The other night, before I retired for the evening, I went in his room to kiss his check. He had one sock on his foot, and one sock on his hand. Kent is unpredictable, independent (but still attached to his mommy, which I don't mind), and aggressive. He makes me laugh, and he reminds me of what is important in life...not what I do, but who I love.

I've got a Felix and an Oscar. Together, they make quite an odd couple, but they make for one perfect family!

on my word. Your little stories just melt my heart. I almost started to cry. I am so emotional!

I cannot wait for those moments. You are so very blessed and have some of the most handsome boys I know. (Other than my nephews of course!)

You are one blessed mommy!

I miss my nephews! Kayla is going to be just like Kenters. I went to get her out of her crib this morning because she was talking to her mobile, and her socks were on one side of the crib, her pants were on the other side, and she was laying horizontally across the crib???? Crazy girl!
