Not worth it

I went on one of my tri-weekly visits to Target on Tuesday night. Erik stayed with the boys, and I, with a gift card in hand, spent two hours in my favorite place on earth. By the end of my adventure, I was thirsty, and stopped at the Starbucks located inside the store. I also had a gift card for coffee (courtesy of A.I.), and I ordered my favorite coffee drink...An iced hazelnut latte made with skim milk. The grand total for this guilty pleasure, was $3.30 for an approximate 8 oz drink (6 oz if you take out the ice), and it took 4 minutes to make and I was the only person in line.

I stop at McDonald's on 127th and Harlem weekly, and ordered the relatively same item for $1.67 and it is literally 2x the amount of drink, and takes half the time to complete my order.

I know it is the whole quality vs. quantity factor, but I think I'm missing something. Now, I admittedly am no coffee connoisseur (I'd had to look up the spelling of this word), but I actually prefer the taste of the Mickey D's version of the drink.

Stop throwing tomatoes at me!!

starbucks is like an indulgence...for rich people....with lots of time...and money. and they recently raised their prices.

I agree, Starbucks is pricey. But I don't like the taste of Mcdonalds of Dunkin' ick! I go to starbucks when I have a gift card... or if we make it a date... because even though it's expensive... it's a pretty cheap date.
Some gas Stations actually have good coffee... I'm talking about coffee though... I don't think they really have the fancy drinks.

I miss Dunkin Donuts coffee!! We don't have that out here in Seattle!! I also prefer the McDonald's iced latte's to a Starbuck's latte. They are cheaper and to me just as tasty! =)

I could never give up starbucks. There's one on every street corner here, and of course, there's another conveniently placed right down the street from my place. Haha. My sister and I meet up after classes at least once a week, and get coffee. Pretty sad considering we live together, but she's got a crazy schedule, so we bond over coffee and homework. Hahaha.

I do not like coffee, but I do love hot chocolate. I have had starbucks hotchocolate that did take them forever to make it and then I have made my own hot chocolate at home with just swiss hot chocolate packs and it taste MUCH better than starbucks. Why is that? I don't understand either. Good post!

Hey... I actually think that I heard that McDonald's coffee actually was rated better than Starbucks...... I think that is pretty interesting! Starbucks is just all about the name. Overrated! .....but I do love to indulge in a drink from there every once in awhile.
